When bargaining reached a critical juncture on Sept 17th, the Faculty Bargaining Team offered the Employer a complete and reasonable package based on the needs established by our faculty. The Employer met this package with a demand for further concessions. These include, increased workload for faculty in apprenticeship and academic upgrading, courses that would run without professors, increased number of weeks per work year, changes in classification that will limit work for counsellors, two-tiered work weeks that could have faculty working on weekends, and elimination of PL seniority rights that were established in 2017 (among a host of other aggressive concessions).
